Everyone in British Columbia has direct access to physiotherapy services. This means that a doctor’s referral isn’t necessary. In British Columbia, over 60% of the population has extended health care plans and most plans will reimburse 80% of the fees. Another 27.5% will be eligible for limited government assistance and will be subject to a nominal visit fee. This means that after reimbursement by extended health care, over 87% of the population will only have to pay a maximum of $10 per visit.
