Splints have an important role in the management of disease and injury of the hand.

There are several basic reasons for splinting a hand or wrist:

  • To protect injured or repaired structures
  • To prevent deformity
  • To decrease pain
  • To enhance function
  • To correct deformity
  • To increase mobility

It has been said that “a splint that fits everyone fits no one”. Our Occupational Therapists have extensive experience in splinting for various diseases and injuries. Each splint is individually made using a scientific approach to design and with great concern for individual anatomical and pathological differences.
